Who is responsible?

Hotellpris.no is responsible for the processing of personal data that takes place directly through Hotellpris where applicable.

Information when you search

When you search for a hotel, your search may include information such as destination, dates, number of guests and number of rooms. This information is used to display relevant hotel results and available information.

You do not need to create a Hotellpris account to perform a regular hotel search.

Hotel information and external services

Hotellpris may retrieve hotel information from external data sources and travel services. When the website communicates with such services, technical information may be processed to the extent necessary to provide the functionality.

External services have their own privacy policies and are responsible for how they process information on their websites and services.

Affiliate links

Hotellpris may use affiliate links to hotel, travel and booking services. If you click such a link, Hotellpris or the partner may record that your visit originated from Hotellpris.

If you later complete a qualifying booking with the partner, Hotellpris may receive a commission. This may be used to measure referrals and calculate any applicable commission.

Cookies and similar technologies

Usage statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views, valid hotel searches and clicks to our booking partners. Search events use only destination names from our existing catalogue; other entries are grouped as other destinations. We do not include free-text searches, travel dates, guest counts or children's ages in these analytics events. Query parameters are removed from the page URLs sent to analytics. These statistics help us improve our guides and booking links; a click does not confirm a booking.

Technical data and logs

As with most websites, technical systems and service providers may process information such as IP address, browser type, time of access, requested pages and technical information about your device.

Such information may be used for purposes including security, troubleshooting, reliable operation and protection against misuse.

How long information is stored

Information should not be stored for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it is processed, unless longer retention is required by law or other legitimate requirements.

Your rights

If Hotellpris processes personal data about you, applicable privacy legislation may give you rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction or the right to object to certain forms of processing.
